Ladurée Sucré, The Sweet Recipes
Put a little Parisian chicness into your home with this elegant book that is filled with 100 divine recipes from pastry chef Philippe Andrieu of the luxurious French bakery and tea salon, Ladurée. The book with its velvety cover and gilded pages comes wrapped in purple tissue paper in an elegant pastel box modeled after their famous fancy macaron boxes. It is quite funny that I love the book so much. My husband lovingly laughed when he noticed that I had carefully placed my precious book on a clean linen while baking and would wash my hands every time before I touched the book. It even has its own special place in my cupboard, haha! I know I’m weird but it’s just too gorgeous of a gem and I don’t want it to get stained!
After you buy the book (this is a must for your kitchen), the hard part is deciding which sweet to make. I chose Plaisirs Gourmands. This sweet delight is a small cream puff with layers of pastry cream, fresh raspberries and chantilly cream. It is topped with chopped pecans and dusted with powdered sugar. C’est une creation luxueuse et fantasque qui impressionne les yeux ainsi que la bouche!!

Happy baking my lovely ladies and gents!
