Paint he town pink!

Paint the town in pink and dare to be original! I strive to live by the following quote, “Be daring, be different, be impractical; be anything that will assert integrity of purpose and imaginative vision against the play-it-safers, the creatures of the commonplace, the slaves of the ordinary.”~Cecil Beaton. There are so many ladies I look up to, one of my favorites being Lucille Ball. Although she doesn’t have pink hair, Lucille definitely stood out with her bright red hair and witty, comical, vivid personality! I grew up watching I Love Lucy and now I get to watch it with my Everly Verina Belle. I hope she grows up to be a true lady, full of personality and fabulous, unique style!
I’m the luckiest girl in the world to have a mother who allowed me to follow (and fall off) my own path. She taught me what it means to be classy in a world full of Kardashians, even though I’m sure she doesn’t know to whom I referring, haha. My mom and I prefer to talk about our past and future travels, royal European history, art, interesting reads, genealogy, and our love of old hollywood movies. Does anyone else feel extremely more appreciative of their mother, now that they have a child of their own? Love you mom!
Have a lovely day and remember the words of Manolo Blahnik, “You weren’t mass-produced, so be unique.”
~Kathryn, The Sugared Lemon
P.S. I found out that I’m distantly related to Lucille Ball through my mother’s lineage!
You just melted my heart. I love you very much.
Love you mom!
Love that pink dress. Lucy is legend!!!
Exactly!!! I simply adore her! One of my favorite episodes is when Lucy and Ethel try learn how to drive a car, haha!
