Hello my lovely Sugared lemons! Over the weekend, my mom and I went to Ballet West’s Romeo and Juliet. I wore this ladylike, Shabby Apple dress to watch the graceful dancers perform one of my favorite Shakespeare tales. I originally bought this darling dress for our upcoming trip to Europe but I didn’t want to wait until May to wear it! The day before the ballet, I was day-dreaming about donning this dress in Paris and walking along the river Seine whilst eating a Plaisir Sucre (Dacquoise biscuit with crunchy hazelnuts, hazelnut crisp, thin wafers of milk chocolate, milk chocolate ganache and milk chocolate chantilly) from Pierre Herme. Amidst my dreaming, I decided I couldn’t wait to wear the sunny dress any longer and made the executive decision to wear it to the ballet. Before heading to the Capitol theater to watch the tragic romance, we ate at Grand America’s Garden Cafe and I kept getting compliments about my dress. A lady came up to me and kindly said, ” I was going to take a photo of your pretty dress, but I decided that it seemed creepy! Instead I thought I would ask where you bought so I can buy one for myself. It’s stunning and I love the bottom of it!”. Isn’t that just the sweetest thing someone could say! I was flattered and gladly told her where she could purchase the dress. Apparently I picked an impressive ensemble for the upcoming Spring!
