Swan Lake Ballet cookies
My family was recently visiting from Texas and I got to spend the week baking and making crafts with my OH so darling niece, Sydney. We both love ballet and dancing so I thought it would be fun to make Swan Lake ballet cookies. Don’t worry, I already know I’m the best aunt, haha! I included my favorite sugar cookie recipe from Martha Stewart and directions on how i easily decorated them. There was only one set left of the Swan Lake cookie cutter set so I included the individual cookie cutters instead.
Supplies:
Swan | Tutu | Mask and Crown | Flower candy decoration | Black edible marker | Pearl sprinkles | White/clear sparkles
Cookie directions:
Sugar cookies and icing recipe here. For my cookies, I coated them with icing and placed them on a cookie cooling rack with foil underneath the rack, for easy cleanup. Once the icing has hardened, I frosted the tops of the cookies with Simple Vanilla Frosting in a golden yellow, pale green and two shades of purple. Before the colored frosting hardened, I added the flowers, pearls and sparkles. I used a black edible marker for the swans eyes and nose.
Have a lovely day baking,
