Valentine’s Day is so close that I can almost smell the fresh bouquet of flowers and taste the chocolate truffles! Get your lips in tip top shape just in time for the most romantic holiday of the year and who knows, you may even get a kiss or two from prince charming! Here is my guide to getting a picture-perfect, kissable pout.
~First, I start off by exfoliating my lips using my Sugar Lip Scrub from Fresh to gently remove dry skin which will smooth out the surface of your lips. Once your lips have been exfoliated, they are now prepped and ready for a hydrating lip balm. Steer clear of balms that contain menthol or eucalyptus because they can irritate and sting dry lips. I prefer to use lip balm treatments from Fresh to hydrate and protect my lips. My favorite lip treatment from Fresh is the Sugar Lip Treatment Advanced Therapy. I use it every night before bedtime and highly recommend that you do the same!
~Now that your lips have been properly prepped, it’s time to show them off! I always start by lining my lips with a liner that has the same hue as my lipgloss/lipstick to give them shape and definition. A lip liner, like the MAC Pro Longwear Lip Pencil, also helps prevent your lipgloss/lipstick from feathering outside the line of your lips.
~To finish, you can use either a lip stain, lipstick, or lipgloss. A lip stain or long wear lipstick is probably the best for a date night but I just adore bright-hued, glossy lips!
