“I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.”~Audrey Hepburn

As I was putting my outfit together for the day, I gazed into my closet and realized that I own a lot of things that are pink. So I decided to style an outfit that features the color pink. However, pink overload on an outfit can leave you looking cheap and a proper, modern lady definitely doesn’t want that! I steered clear from looking cheap and tacky by adding subtle accents of pink to a neutral, soft color pallet. I finished my outfit by adding my cherished Henri Bendel “Miss Bendel Barrel” handbag. I am a firm believer that when you are wearing Bendel, you will always look and feel like a classy dame. The lil pup Lucy and I are Bendel girls for life!!

As you all know, I’m a sucker for old-time movies and one of my favorites is Funny Face. The film features a cherished song and dance number called Think Pink (watch the scene here). Yes, the dance scene is very fluffy and girly but I think that is why I’m quite the smitten kitten when I watch it. Funny Face stars the legendary Fred Astaire and Audrey Hepburn in a movie about a scruffy, intellectual girl named Jo Stockton who is thrust into the world of  high fashion and it ends with a little romance on the streets of Paris. I found a delightful article here that focuses on the designers of the impeccable fashion in Funny Face. Givenchy? Yes please!
