One of my favorite artist’s paintings, Sandro Botticelli, at the National Gallery in London
Hmmm…I recall James Bond in Skyfall looking at this painting!
Although this wasn’t my first trip to Europe, it was my first trip to England. I have a lot of ancestors from all over England and I couldn’t wait to visit. Jane Austen, William Shakespeare, the Royals, Westminster Abbey, scones with clotted cream, Beatrix Potter, Charles Dickens, Harry Potter, Burberry, castles, and the list goes on and on! We were in London for a week and fit in as much as we possibly could. It was a Sugared Lemon’s dream vacation.
The places we visited in London:
Georgian House Hotel
Stay in a secret, hidden Wizard Chamber
Hampton Court
See where the scandalous lives of England’s elite occurred
Hyde Park and Liberty London
Stroll, shop, and eat the Londoner’s way
London Bridge and the Tower of London
Be careful, you may lose your head
Peggy Porschen Cakes and Parlour
Dine on Glorious Victoria Cake among the pink and floral parlour
While we were in England, we also visited Gloucestershire for my darling friend’s wedding at Berkeley Castle. On our way there, we stayed a night at the De Vere Tortworth Court.
I’ve been to London before and I loved every bit of it! Seeing these beautiful photos makes me want to go back there at some point! ā¤ļø

As for someone who lives in London every other week due to work it’s always fun to see what “outsiders” enjoy the most about London. You found some great spots there for sure, but please do come back! š

England looks gorgeous. I love visiting museums. We visited the MET while in NYC. There’s so much to see in such a little amount of time! We hope to go back someday and see the rest of the museum.
