Georgian House lobby
The Georgian House Hotel is Central London’s quintessentially English five-star boutique B&B. Built in 1851, it has been handed down through the family, starting with the original owner, William Chinnery Mitchel. It’s 63 rooms and apartments feel welcoming, and english chic! Oh, where to start with this lovely Bed and Breakfast? Let me start by listing some of the many amenities. Included is free full cooked breakfast, free WiFi, free IPhone to use during your stay (free calls to landlines and mobiles in the USA, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, and across the UK). You must stay at least one night in the secret Wizard Chambers! The Wizard Chambers are originally why I wanted to stay at the Georgian House and they did not disappoint! *videos of the Wizard Chambers at the bottom of post
“Concealed behind a bookcase door, curious guests can enjoy venturing to the Wizard Chamber on the lower ground floor of our 19th century hotel. Pass through a portrait-lined passageway that is bathed in candle light that casts dancing shadows across the walls.Created to conjure a mysterious and gothic feel, each room features faux castle details such as stained glass windows, stone walls, archways, trunks, cauldrons, four-poster beds hung with velvet curtains and an abundance of other curious artefacts. Wood burning stoves, cauldrons in fireplaces and tapestries complete the look.” ~ Georgianhousehotel.co.uk
The bathroom is hidden behind a sliding door that looks like part of the wall!
The Georgian House Hotel is on a quiet street and close to the Tube and Victoria Railway station, which makes it very easy to get around London. Plus, you must take time to eat a slice of Glorious Victoria cake at Peggy Porschen Cakes, which is a few blocks away!
When planning your trip to England, I highly recommend a stay at the Georgian House Hotel. It’s London’s finest B&B in my opinion!
Have a lovely day,
